Without good quality, targeted traffic to your site, you aren’t going to get any sales or any leads.
The number one question I receive from my clients is “How do I get more traffic to my site?”
And now, I’m about to share with you some easy ways to get visitors flocking to your site today.
Here’s how:
1. Get an Amazing Domain Name.
You really don’t want to get this wrong. People will never forget a catchy domain name.
Be sure to choose a short and easy to remember domain name that is appropriate to your business and has a nice ring to it.
Remember, your domain name becomes your online brand.
2. Upload Useful Content.
These days people are banner blind. They want (and deserve) more than just ads.
Give them information they can’t find anywhere else, and give it to them for free. Give them all the content they could possibly want and need.
You need to focus on educating your customers, because when people land on your site now, they’ve already made 60% of the buying journey.
I do this by giving away a digital marketing guide for free (which this post is part of). You could do the same!

And if you don’t know what they want, it’s simple – ask them.
3. Get Your Site Indexed.
Search engines bring more than 75% of traffic to most web sites.
Make sure you’re working with an SEO optimized framework for your site (like the Genesis framework).
Do proper keyword research and make sure you create an XML site map for your site (helps the Google bots navigate your site), and place keywords in your main page title and header tags (but don’t over do it).
4. Get Links From Relevant Sites.
The best way to get seen is to get links on quality relevant sites in your industry or in your community.
Search engines will find you within days. You can seek out both one way links from other sites and also reciprocal link exchanges with other webmasters.
Link building can be a long, arduous process, but when done right can significantly boost your rankings.
5. Form or Join a Community.
Start a Google+ community, Facebook Group or join a forum around a common cause related to your business.

Actively participate in these groups by posting answers to other people’s questions. Be visible and always make sure you’re pointing back to your website.
No matter what social media platform you’re using, you should be using them to point back to your site.
The best thing about social media is that people come back again and again, which means more traffic for you.
6. Build Your Own Mailing List.
This is the number one way to keep in touch with your prospects and your customers. If you’re not building an email list, start building one right now.
Why?
Platforms can die. Websites can go down. Facebook could start charging you every time you want to send a message to your audience.
But an email list? An email list is forever. You’ll have direct access to your audience so that you can keep in touch with them from wherever, whenever.
And make sure you build a good relationship with your list, because the best customer is your existing customers.
7. Submit Media Releases & Articles.
Write your own article just like this one and submit it websites and magazines that accept article submissions.
Be sure to include your business and contact information and website address in the resource box.
Along with this, you can try and get some publicity with your local paper. Here’s how:
- Get a well written media release done up with a good angle for your industry
- Find a freelancer (not staff at the paper, they’ll just get you to buy advertising)
- Send them the release with everything they need for the story.
Your not just handing them a story then – you’re handing them a paycheck so that you can build your audience.
8. Always Update Your Website.
Your website should always be up and running and full of fresh content.
It is to your advantage if you maintain your website with new articles and updated features.
If your visitors always find what they want and need, they will definitely be coming back again.
And, search engine crawlers love a site with changing content!

Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see amazing result straight away. Working on these strategies a little bit each day will bring some serious traffic in the weeks and months ahead.
